Before Alex was born I already realized I would have a very big responsibility.

Alex has now passed a year and a half and I realize I underestimated my responsibilities. To compensate I got a bigger gun.

For Alex his first birthday his grandparents came to visit. At first Alex needed some time to adopt but he quickly adapted and got very comfortable.

It is weekend, so we try to do enjoy ourselves and do nice things. Today we visited the botanical gardens. Alex was looking around and saw a lot of plants. He did not seem very enthusiastic.

After our visit Alex took the opportunity and posed for a photo in the car. Of course we moved his to his proper seat inside the car just after the photo.

My carnival outfit was striking and the Spaniards were impressed. Several people asked for a photo and Alex and I even made it to a contest.

If we collect the most ‘likes’ on the facebook page of the photographer we can win a book about photography.

My mom and dad have come to visit us. Of course this is very nice and although the locals think its pretty cold the sunshine and the temperature of around 20 degrees did agree with my parents.
