Salt and shame!Today I heard a funny story by a colleague. While on the beach an unknown dog approached and started to lick him. A funny story, and for me an inspiration for a new song. I asked an AI for a song text based on the following premise (my colleagues story, a unknown dog licked him, made a bit more interesting):

  • Lying on the beach, daydreaming. I notice someone approaching. A tender touch. I can hear her breath. Not sure if I’m dreaming, or my fantasy just became reality.
  • Lying on the beach, daydreaming. I feel her touch. She’s not afraid, takes initiative. Wet and warm, a subtle lick. Sunscreen being rubbed all over my back.
  • Lying on the beach, I keep my composure. My eyes closed, relaxed, enjoying the moment. My stranger took it to the next level. Cream all over my body, she licks me with passion.
  • Lying on the beach, I start to get doubts, could it just be a dream, the girl is simply to wild. Were on a public beach, she is doing things to me that are probably not legal outside the bedroom.
  • Lying on the beach, I open my eyes a little. I see my lover, but she is so close. I only see shades of black and brown as she licks me with passion, still rubbing cream everywhere.
  • Lying on the beach, I suddenly wake up. It’s a dog. Literally a dog, my dreams are shattered as reality slams into my mind. My daydream was really a unknown dog assaulting me. I feel terrible, dirty.
  • Lying on the beach, it gets even worse. The beach was packed. I look around, and see thousands of eyes, all looking at me. People laugh. People are disgusted. The dog is still here, on top of me. What now?

The result I got were some very nice lyrics, and together with a style indication: dream-pop, pop, rap, dark ambient. I used my suno account and got a very nice song.

Alcotan Canarias!Inter Colonia!Here we go again. After last weeks win the team is ready for another win. We won the previous match, so what will this match bring? Fingers crossed.

Too bad, we lost! Alan did not play in this match. He had to take it easy for a week. His spirit did participate as you can see in the match photo with his team mates holding up his shirt.

Soccer card issues

It seems impossible to avoid these kinds of issues… Something basic has failed once again. I understand that logistics are challenging, but in this case, it seems the logistical base should have been in order. Hundreds of photos of hundreds of children, along with a record of name, number in the album, team, coach, group photo, team logo, landscape or portrait. This must have been thought through.

The problem: The football cards of Alan’s team are unfortunately not all perfect. A mistake slipped in. One of Alan’s teammates does have their own card, but with the wrong photo of another boy. Such a shame, especially for the boy himself and his parents.

An (empty) album costs 7 euros, and for every 6 cards, you pay 1.50 euros. The album holds nearly 200 cards, so with plenty of trading, you can manage with exactly 34 packs. That will cost (34 x 1.50) + 7 = 58 euros. It’s an expensive album, especially if your child is pictured incorrectly in it, for his team mates it is a shame that a friend’s card isn’t accurate.

A quick fix would be to print a few new corrected cards. That seems like the cheapest solution to me. Perhaps they’ll do nothing; ‘better luck next time’ is even cheaper. We’ll see how this unfolds.

Soccer cards arrived

The highly anticipated soccer cards have arrived. Right of the bat we started with a big investment. 16 packets with 6 cards each, and the album to store them in. We did not know the total amount of cards we needed to fill up the album, so it was a bit of a gamble. Of course Alan wanted his very first personalized album to be complete so there will probably be quite a number of weeks where card trading will be a big part of the football training.

We will have to keep our fingers crossed to see if Alan is inside one of the little bags. If not, we are hoping to get at least some of his friends, or at the very least a few people from his team.

Well, Alan got lucky, a teammate got a repeated Alan, and gave the extra card to Alan, so he started out with his own card before even opening his first packet.

Muelle Grande!Inter Colonia!The first match of this pool was played by Alan at home against the team from Muelle Grande. Unfortunately, they lost this match, but Inter Colonia was certainly not without chances. Maybe this time we can grab the victory?

It was a fun match. A goal from Pablo, Alan’s friend. A goal from Aimar, another friend of Alan, and a goal from Alan himself. Fantastic — for us, the game was a success. Unfortunately, the opposing team also scored. No less than 8 goals! So unfortunately, the result was a loss of 8 – 3, but it was an exciting match nonetheless.

AI is getting better really fast. My latest test is a generated song using suno. The style is a mix of a football song combined with a splash of sexuality, and it worked. Inter Colonia, Alan’s team, mixed with droplets of sweat sliding down someone’s blouse. The result sounds amazing.

Las Coloradas!Inter Colonia!An away match! A very tough one this time against the number one team on the list.

Unfortunately, we lost 10 – 3. We started the game well again, just like last week, with a 2 – 0 lead, but the opponent fought back and eventually secured the points easily with a 10 – 3 victory. It was noticeable that it was a bit of a ‘dirty’ match. During the match there was a lot of kicking and pushing. It’s no surprise that the opponents are in first place. Other football matches were more like a game, but this one was more of a battle for victory.

Dell arrived

She arrived! My new Dell laptop. A Latitude. So far, I’ve noticed that it’s nice and fast, much quicker than my old Dell, but contrary to my expectations, it’s not faster than my MacBook. Starting up and shutting down takes more time, and a restart takes much longer than the Mac. Normal software runs comparably, nice and fast. Games like Minecraft (the only one I’ve installed) do work, but they’re a bit choppy. It’s not a super-graphics-intensive game, but on the Snapdragon, it runs disappointingly. A local AI runs super-fast, much better than on the Mac.

I did notice that the laptop got faster after I cleaned up all the preinstalled Dell software. I only left the dell-updater, and the rest went to the trash.

February ’25

A short but good month. I bought a new laptop. I ordered the laptop in the beginning of this month, but I’m still waiting. It has been lying at the customs office for around a week already, and depending on how busy they are I hope to receive my machine in about a week or so. Maybe I will need to fill out some import papers, but I will probably get notified about that. I don’t know.

Alan won quite a few football matches (thanks in part to intense encouragement from Alex).

The extra weight I had picked up at the end of last year, is slowly going away again. I’ve gone down from 78 kilos to 75. Just a few more kilos off and I’ll be completely healthy again. My target for the end of the year is to weigh around 70 kilos, but luckily I still have quite a few months to go.
