Slowmotion 4 Me

In America on the side of New York there was one song being played on the radio every day, and sometimes even more then once.. Juvenile. But the bad thing was it was a special edited version with a lot of ‘holes’ in the lyrics. I was curious about these holes so I searched for the song on KaZaA and this resulted in a surprise. The holes in the edited version were not so bad at all.

Other nice songs I remember from America:
Gap Band – Ride the White Pony
B52’s – Love Shack
Goo Goo Dolls – Iris

Goo Goo Dolls!!

:-D

Today I did a tour over an aircraft carrier that was docked here in the harbor of San Diego. On the aircraft carrier they had constructed a very big stage. After informing about the stage I was told that there would be a concert tonight by the Goo Goo Dolls. Sadly it is for some private party and I was unable to arrange a ticket, but still I think I’ll pass by the docks tonight to see if I can enjoy a little of the concert.

Update: Okay, the Goo Goo Dolls are okay, but the gross of their songs is just regular. They only have one good song and this song is what made them famous. It did sound very good being played on a massive boat.

Fahrenheit 9/11

I just watched the movie and at some scenes I had to close my eyes… a bit disgusting at times. It is a good film though. Laughing about that dumb Bush and for good reasons. It is nice to be able to recognize parts of New York and it is an even better feeling that I actually can (recognize parts of New York). :-p

Sarah Bettens

I just returned from a concert by Sarah Bettens, some ex k’s choice member. The opening show was disappointing and the main act had only two songs I recognized, but that were no real hits. The audience was 80% female which was a potentially good thing, but of this 80% almost 90% were lesbians, and that made it loose its charm.

Still, for a Monday night that would otherwise would have been boring it was nice to plan a trip to 013 in Tilburg, especially for a performance of someone I had never heard from before.

Land of Dreams

While searching for a document in one of my unmarked CD’s with backups I encountered to following.

Copenhagen Interpretation:

Every time a quantum event occurs, a new universe branches off to accommodate the change. A new universe is born each and every time something as insubstantial as a photon is born, or the spin-state of an electron changes…

There is a infinity of universes. Every alternate history ever imagined, ever fantasy ever dreamed of, every universe conceived. All have concrete reality… somewhere.

Reality requires no more than belief to give it substance.

This is the introduction to the freeware game ‘Land of Dreams’. A very nice game and all for free. The theory even seems to be based on something. Image if it’s true, then it must be really bad to live in one of those universes that represents a game that I have lost, because I have lots a lot of games.

Buyh!

It is great to spend money.. en even better if the product you are buying is guaranteed to relaxation and happiness. Although some people cannot understand it I just bought a new CD by Gary D with some nice German trance music. It is his 26th CD already.

The actual purpose of my shopping spree was trying to find a little ducky for the bath that I needed for a birthday, but this I did not find. Still, I have a week left to try and find it.
